Are you planning for a camping trip for the next vacation? Yes, I know it sounds exciting; in fact thinking about the camping trip itself can make my head spin with excitement. Well, even though I have been planning camping trips as a living for years, I can assure you that every trip is a new adventure. And, best of all, every trip will always have a slight deviance, or what I would call accidental mishaps no matter how much prior planning has been done.

Well, thats basically the thrill of any camping trip, isnt it?

That, however, does not stop you from pre-planning your camping trip to make it as smooth and enjoyable for your fellow campers. Having a proper camping supply checklist will inevitably help to reduce the confusion that takes away all the fun from any camping trips.

As an avid camper and a former drill sergeant, I pride myself in handling the logistics of any particular camping trip. Of course, not to be overly regimental here, but how many of you have experience the can foods without the can opener? How about the tents without the pegs, or even the having trouble lighting up the fire without waterproof matches after a heavy downpour?

I am very sure that for those of you have been camping before, you would realize the importance of having a camping supply checklist to avoid the accidental mishaps I mentioned earlier. For those of you who are first-timers, it is absolutely recommended that you prepare your camping supply checklist and have an itinerary before even starting to book those vacation dates.

Essentially your camping supply checklist will be broken down into several categories, namely;
- Shelter
- Bedding
- Cooking
- Clothes
- Personal
- First Aid
- Miscellaneous

These are the basics of a proper camping supply checklist. Of course, it does not include any camping activities yet. Your own camping supply checklist will consist of the supplies that you need for your own customized activities, like fishing, swimming, canoeing, etc.
